Thursday

Thursday:
We had an interesting day.  Sometimes plans change for the day but God was definitely in it all.

We had a baptism in the morning and then the bus, our main mode of transportation had some minor repairs that needed to be done.  While the bus was being prepared we dedicated a new bus into service for the school.

We attended their chapel service and I had the honor to lead worship.  The Spirit of the Lord was there and the students entered into worship.  It was a beautiful thing to experience.  Daryl gave an awesome message that really connected with them.

Afterward we ended up working at the Center for most of the day.  We have a few upset stomachs but most everyone is feeling much better tonight.  We are joining the students again tonight to do a Bible study together.

Keep us in your prayers.  God has certainly blessed every aspect of this trip and we can't wait to come home to tell all of you in person how awesome God has been on this trip!

Friday:

Today was the final push to get everything accomplished.  It was amazing.  We still had much to do but as they say, many hands make light work.  There was a point where we had 45 minutes to finish and we huddled together.  It was like the fourth quarter of a sporting event.  We got to working again and when one would tire another would take their place and we finished right at the 45 minute mark!  God was so faithful!  In the afternoon we had a wonderful time taking a dip in the Caribbean and then had a wonderful meal by the sea!  What a great way to end the trip.

Saturday:  We are getting packed up and ready to go.  Breakfast is in five.  We look forward to seeing all of you and telling you first hand of all that the Lord did in us and through us.  He is faithful!

Wednesday Afternoon

Today was an awesome day of ministry.  As you can tell by the picture we got a mud bath.  Some people pay big bucks for this kind of treatment at spas!

Part of the team worked hard on cleaning out the cistern.  It was a pretty daunting task but we made it through.  The team was really encouraging to one another and we pushed through and got a lot done today.  Afterward we cooled off at the waterfalls afterward and that felt so good to get the mud and the sweat off of us.

Part of the team worked on completing the kitchen area upstairs at the center and are still working on it tonight as we speak.

Tonight I will be speaking to the Teen Challenge Center so pray for me and the team as we continue to minister.

God's love is so evident here.  We are seeing his provision every day.  He is so faithful to give us solutions to problems, answering our prayers when we lost a nut in the dirt!  He cares about every little thing!  He's faithful.  Praise God!

Tuesday Evening

Good Evening!!!

We had a great time of traveling without any problems at all.  God smoothed out details and we made it through customs without any problems and no one lost any luggage.  So the trip started off smoothly.

We are really exhausted this evening but it was a very profitable day.  The team worked hard and got a great start.  The cistern is well on its way to be cleaned out.  We pumped about 10,000 gallons of water out and it's just about empty.  Another team of us blazed a trail from the main street all the way up to the top of the property big enough to get a car through.  We started out with machete's and a lot of sweat, but then Darryl brought in a weedwacker with a blade that cuts through brush and the process went much quicker!

Tonight we are having a meeting with the Teen Challenge students.  Ken Franklin will be giving his testimony and I'm going to be leading worship tonight.  It will be a great opportunity for us to get into the presence of the Lord and share our hearts testifying what God has done in our lives.

We really appreciate your prayers as we continue to work and be a blessing to the Teen Challenge Center here in Ocho Rios!

Good Afternoon,

We are super excited about our Jamaica Spring Break 2011 trip!  We are meeting at the Stafford Crossing Office Complex at 3AM (WHAT?)  Yes, 3AM!  We will get into vans and ride up to Reagan National Airport to go one what I believe will be a life changing trip for all those participating.  Pray that God uses us to speak into people's lives as well as get "our mission" accomplished as well.

Stay tuned for daily updates, videos, and pictures on the church website.  Hope you all will have a great spring break and please take a moment each day to pray for us as we do our work as unto the Lord.
